Evaluation at KG & Classes I – III Level
There is no Examination from Kindergarten till Class III. Rather the evaluation is based on a more detailed Continuous Evaluation Strategy aimed at de-stressing education and making learning joyful and meaningful experience. The report cards for Classes I to III will reflect Grades in subjects instead of marks or percentages. The five-point Grading System with no ‘Pass’ or ‘Fail’ system is as follows:

Evaluation for Classes IV – V: Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)
The Academic Year will be divided into two terms. Each term will have two Formative Assessments (FA) and one Summative Assessment (SA). Formative Assessments will comprise of weekly tests as well as assignments, home work, class work, projects etc. Summative Assessment will be the end of term examination.
Evaluation for Classes VI – X: Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)
The Academic Year will be divided into two terms. Each term will have two Formative Assessments (FA) and one Summative Assessment (SA). Formative Assessments will comprise of weekly tests as well as assignments, home work, class work, projects etc. Summative Assessment will be the end of term examination.
Evaluation for Class XI
The Academic Year will be divided into two terms. In addition to regular weekly tests during the term, Examination will be conducted at the end of each Term.
Evaluation for Class XII
The Academic Year will be divided into two terms. In addition to regular weekly tests during the term, Examination will be conducted at the end of June and in November. The Model Exam will be conducted on full syllabus in the month of January.
No ranks will be awarded in any classes from Kindergarten till Class XII.
In this CCE system, student’s performance will be assessed using conventional numerical marking mode, and the same will be later converted into the nine point grades on the basis of the pre-determined marks ranges as detailed below :-

Examination Dates*
*Examination dates mentioned in the annual calendar are not inclusive of the dates of evaluation of Non-Cognitive Subjects and Practical Examination. These subjects can be evaluated before or after the dates mentioned in the calendar.
Kindly note
In the event of any student missing any Test / Exam while representing school for any sports/cultural event, Retest/ Exam will be conducted. Absence in a weekly test may be considered for retesting on approved medical ground or in case of long leave. Leave Application (with the medical certificate for medical leave) needs to be submitted to the Class Teacher. In the event of absence for any Term Exam on medical grounds, consolidated percentage will be calculated. If a student is absent for any reason other than those mentioned above, no marks will be awarded.
PROMOTION POLICY (Classes VI – X)
Promotion is based on the day-to-day work of the students throughout the year and also on the performance in the terminal examination.
First term – FA1 (10%) + FA2 (10%) + SA1 (30%)
Second term – FA3 (10%) + FA4 (10%) + SA2 (30%)
Consolidated Result:
Formative Assessment (FA) 1+2+3+4 = 40% Summative Assessment (SA) 1+2 = 60%
Those candidates who are not able to get qualifying grades (D and above) in consolidated result all the subjects (cognitive and non-cognitive) excluding Additional subject as per Scheme of Studies shall not be permitted for promotion in the next Class.
Students will not be eligible for any academic award or school appointment if they are found using any unfair means during the Weekly Test or Terminal Examination. They will also be subjected to disciplinary action. Under special circumstances, the Principal and the Academic Council reserves the right to take necessary decisions.
