ACADEMIC-EXCELLENCE

The 25th Founder’s Day was celebrated by the FAIPS fraternity on 11th Sep 2019 with great aplomb. The school began its historic journey way back in 1995 under the visionary stewardship of Padma Bhushan, Dr. (Mrs.) Shyama Chona and Ms. Monia Al Nouri and started functioning, under the aegis of DPS society with Mr. M.I Hussain as its first Principal. Since its inception, FAIPS-DPS has been igniting and encouraging young minds to pursue their dreams and today, this institution has succeeded in carving a niche as one of the premier Indian schools in Kuwait. The programme was graced by His Excellency, Mr. K. Jeeva Sagar, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, as the Chief Guest, Ms. Lana Othman Al Ayyar, CEO, Al Rayan Holding Company and Mr. Arun Choudhary, CFO, Al Rayan Holding Company as the Guests of Honour . The programme began with lighting the ceremonial lamp by a host of dignitaries. The Principal, Mr.Ravi Ayanoli, in his welcome speech, urged the students to continue to be sincere in their efforts and to go the extra mile. The audience was treated to a medley of cultural items starting with school orchestra performing on the popular Latin instrumental Cha Cha Cha . Other items which kept the audience enthralled included dances by the tiny tots of kindergarten, classical dance by the Primary section as well as the Western and Arabic numbers by the senior sections, showcasing their versatile talents. The humorous English skit by the students of Grade 11 on School Reunion, kept the audience in splits . The Hindi ‘Nukkad Natak’ focussed on the plight of the poor farmers caught in a quagmire of political and administrative corruption. The highlight of the day was the awards ceremony, honouring the high achievers of Grade 10 and 12 in the CBSE Examination of 2019. His Excellency, Mr. Jeeva Sagar, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait and the Principal awarded the subject toppers and their teachers with certificates and cash awards. Apart from academics, school encourages excellence in sports. Niyati Pradeep of Class 11 was honoured for her achievement in securing Bronze Medal in Badminton at the National Level .To cap it all, special awards were given to the veteran staff for their long standing association with the school. The Chief Guest, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait in his inspirational talk asked the students to be humble every time they achieve big and to foster a curious mind. He also urged the parents not to push their children into careers in which they have no aptitude. The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by the Vice Principal, Mrs. Vinita Munshi followed by the Indian National Anthem. It was indeed a very proud moment for all those associated with the school.
